Eastern Red Cedar

(Juniperus virginiana)   

A sturdy Minnesota native, this evergreen can serve as a screen or focal point in the landscape. The scale-like needles are an attractive green during the summer that turns slightly red to brown in the winter months. Must be grown in full sun and is tolerant of dry conditions.
